Moodle Tutorial: For Teachers

This tutorial is to designed to help lecturer on how to use moodle for teaching.

Procedures/Guideline for using Moodle

The delivery plan will be according to the Unit Scheme of Work. The weekly delivery plan consists of:

  • Lecture Materials (Slides, notes, video links, etc)
  • Tasks/activities (Class work, assignments, exercises)
  • Assignment (assignment brief or discussion of assignments, templates)
  • Session for students with internet and class-based

The delivery plan must be in microsoft excel (xlsx) format. This will be submitted to the program coordinator every end of the week. The weekly delivery plan's content is for the following week's sessions (see below).

Attendance will be recorded through LMS and through the standard attendance provided by the admin.

  • Each lecturer will login to the LMS when necessary (classes, uploading materials, chats, forums, etc)
  • Materials must be uploaded based on the weekly plan (this is to ensure that materials are available for students prior to lecture)
  • In the event that a lecturer cannot deliver her/his class on the regular schedule (medical issue, personal reasons), the academic lead will assign another lecturer to deliver the class according to the delivery/lesson plan.
  • Messages/announcements can be posted in the general forum/individual forum posting announcements and forums
  • Zoom meeting schedule must be posted in the group announcement (the meeting id must be posted in the group anouncement)
